Job Description

Day to Day: We are seeking an Estimator to support bid and proposal efforts for telecommunications infrastructure projects across Connecticut. This role is responsible for producing accurate, complete cost estimates by reviewing drawings and specifications, performing material takeoffs, building labor estimates, and coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate has strong low voltage systems knowledge, understands constructability and risk, and can identify scope gaps while supporting competitive, compliant pricing. Occasional site walks and field surveys are required.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:

• Proven experience estimating telecom or low voltage infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of fiber, copper cabling, pathways, racks, and structured cabling systems
• Working knowledge of TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, and industry standards
• Experience with data center environments, ISP/OSP cabling, and constructability reviews
• Proficiency with estimating tools (Excel, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Ability to develop full bid packages including takeoffs, labor builds, pricing, and scope narratives

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• BICSI and/or manufacturer certifications (RCDD, DCD, CommScope, Corning, Panduit, etc.) preferred
