Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Mechanical PE to oversee HVAC design for healthcare projects and help grow our Connecticut and New York market presence. This senior role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and strategic office development.

Responsibilities
• Serve as Lead Engineer for all HVAC projects, ensuring code compliance and QA/QC.
• Lead HVAC design for hospitals, labs, and medical facilities.
• Oversee calculations, system selection, and energy‑efficient design.
• Establish design standards and mentor junior engineers.
• Build and maintain client relationships in the healthcare market.
• Support growth of a virtual NY office and future physical location.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, contractors, and internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Mechanical Engineering degree.
• NY or CT PE license required.
• 5+ years of HVAC experience in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, ASHRAE 170, FGI, NFPA.
• Proficiency with HVAC design tools and AutoCAD/Revit.
• Leadership and QA/QC experience.
• Ability to travel between NY and CT once weekly.
