Job Description

An Insight Global client is seeking a Project Manager to join a team supporting highly regulated, security-focused infrastructure and information systems. This individual will be responsible for managing complex technical initiatives, overseeing budgets up to $5M, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with organizational and DoD regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
-Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously, with total budgets up to $4 million
-Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
-Track project progress, dependencies, and deliverables using Jira
-Partner closely with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to align project execution with technical requirements
-Lead project status meetings, stakeholder briefings, and executive-level reporting
-Apply Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes, reduce waste, and ensure consistent delivery
-Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies early
-Ensure projects align with compliance, security, and operational standards
-Coordinate cross-functional resources across technical and non-technical teams
-Support initiatives involving virtual machines, Linux-based environments, and networked systems
-Maintain clear documentation for project scope, timelines, and outcomes

Required Skills & Experience

- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager managing complex IT or infrastructure projects
- Experience managing project budgets up to $5M
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Technical background in Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience working with or managing projects in Linux and/or virtual machine environments
- Strong working knowledge of Jira for project tracking and reporting
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Secret Clearance or above

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience supporting teams in security-focused or regulated environments
- Familiarity with infrastructure, networking, or systems engineering projects
- Experience working alongside Information Security, DevOps, or Infrastructure teams
- Prior exposure to compliance-driven projects (federal, DoD, or enterprise environments)
