Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in West Hartford, CT. The Manufacturing Engineer will enhance production efficiencies, improve machining and assembly operations, maintain quality standards, and implementing innovative solutions. In this role, this individual will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

-Support ongoing manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure smooth, efficient production operations.

-Identify, define, and resolve manufacturing and assembly problems, taking corrective actions as needed.

-Analyze and improve manufacturing processes related to design, materials, machinery, equipment, and workforce utilization.

-Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing process documentation aligned with engineering specifications and production capabilities.

-Prepare layouts, tooling plans, product flow, and related engineering functions to transition new products from blueprint to full production.

Required Skills & Experience

-Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.

-Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies

-Proficient with CAD software and other engineering tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD etc.)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations

-Experience with process automation and robotics is a plus

Transferrable skills:
-Individuals who come from Military or Army background or who have direct firearms manufacturing experience work out really well in this role!
