Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a fully remote backend java developer to join a large healthcare client. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions across the full SDLC, ensuring adherence to coding best practices. You will build and optimize APIs using Java and Spring Boot while implementing robust unit testing with JUnit. Daily tasks include working with GCP services such as Storage Buckets, Composer, and Dataflow to support scalable cloud solutions. You will develop and maintain ETL and data quality pipelines, leveraging tools like Airflow and Kubernetes for orchestration and deployment. Collaboration in Agile/Scrum ceremonies will be key as you integrate DevOps practices using Git, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions for continuous delivery. Monitoring and troubleshooting system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and trace logs will be part of your routine to ensure reliability. Additionally, you will implement secure authentication mechanisms with OAuth2/JWT and contribute to healthcare-related projects where domain expertise is valued.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience with end-to-end software engineering across the full SDLC.
Strong in Java, Spring Boot, API development, JUnit testing, and coding best practices.
Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Storage Buckets, Composer, Dataflow, and IAM.
Experience building and maintaining ETL/data quality pipelines.
Proficient with Kubernetes, Apigee, GKE, Airflow, MongoDB, and SQL/Postgres.
Familiar with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Strong in automated testing and OAuth2/JWT-based authentication.
Skilled in logging/monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and trace logs.
Works effectively in Agile/Scrum environments; healthcare domain experience is preferred.
