Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Project Technician to support diverse industrial service projects in the Plainville, CT location. This role focuses on project coordination, including scheduling, client communication, and preparation of work and safety plans for installation crews. Technicians will also assist with hands‑on tasks such as equipment installation, maintenance, and occasional fabrication work. Responsibilities include ordering project‑specific equipment, conducting pre‑job walks, and leading safety tailgate meetings to ensure compliance.
Projects span remediation systems, decontamination/demolition, plumbing, electrical work, and machine guarding installations. Success requires strong organizational skills, manual dexterity, and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments while prioritizing safety. Candidates should be comfortable reading diagrams and schematics, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and using powered tools for basic fabrication tasks.

Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or technical school equivalent, plus strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret work plans, diagrams, and schematics, and apply basic math for measurements
- Hands‑on experience with powered tools (e.g., cordless drills, bandsaws) for cutting, drilling/tapping, and concrete hammer drilling
- Strong organizational and communication skills for coordinating crews, clients, and project managers in a fast‑paced environment
- Commitment to safety protocols and proper PPE use, with willingness to comply with internal and client standards
- Ability to pick up at least 50 pounds
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of remediation systems (wastewater, soil vapor extraction, groundwater) and troubleshooting methods
- Experience operating or supervising wastewater treatment systems, including maintenance and repair
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout, OSHA 10/30, and NFPA 70E safety training
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments to verify equipment accuracy and reliability
- Background in estimating assistance and project scheduling for industrial service projects
