Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Technician in the East Hartford area. The ideal candidate will thrive both independently and within a team environment, demonstrating a strong desire to learn new skills and a keen attention to detail. Prior experience in a hands-on laboratory or manufacturing setting is highly preferred. Responsibilities include sample mounting, polishing, and preparing bond bars for tensile strength testing using lab equipment such as grinders, polishers, cutting tools, and ovens. The technician will follow technical data, instructions, and procedures for analysis mounting, perform lab-related tasks including POG/PMR activities and inventory counts, and ensure strict adherence to work instructions. Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, is required. The role also involves training new hires, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and completing other lab-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor. A willingness to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and participate in workshops and improvement events is essential.

Required Skills & Experience

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with quality functions in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical or lab experience
- Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Background in the coatings industry
- Familiarity with thermal spray coatings
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Self-starter attitude with a drive for continuous improvement
