Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Scrum Master to work at the government customer site, located in Groton, CT.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scrum Master to join our cutting-edge Navy AI/ML program. This role is critical to fostering an effective and high-performing agile team environment in alignment with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) practices. The Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional development, data science, and systems engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of complex AI/ML solutions that directly support mission objectives and operational decision-making for the U.S. Navy.

The ideal candidate will be an agile servant leader and coach who can facilitate team events, remove impediments, promote continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to agile values and principles within a secure and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams developing AI/ML capabilities and data-driven applications for Navy stakeholders.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensure they are productive and focused.
• Coach the team and stakeholders in SAFe Agile principles, Scrum practices, and servant leadership.
• Identify and remove impediments to team progress, escalating issues as necessary.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a clear, well-groomed backlog aligned to program priorities.
• Coordinate dependencies with other Scrum Masters and teams within the ART (Agile Release Train).
• Ensure transparency through clear metrics, information radiators, and consistent status reporting.
• Support the team in delivering high-quality increments that meet Navy security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment with program objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Active Secret clearance (TS or TS/SCI preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years serving as a Scrum Master for software or data-focused Agile teams.
• Practical understanding and hands-on experience applying SAFe Agile principles and participating in an Agile Release Train.
• Active certification in Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and fostering team collaboration and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Prior experience working within DoD or Navy programs, particularly with AI/ML or data-centric development.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments with cybersecurity and compliance constraints.
• Experience coordinating multiple Agile teams in a large-scale SAFe environment.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and modern software development best practices.
• PMP certification
