Job Description

We are seeking a junior level safety specialist to join one of our large pharmaceutical clients Safety Team in Groton, CT. This role will help with the implementation and management of the Site-specific Health and Safety Plan in conjunction with the ongoing capital projects on the site. This individual will be sufficiently experienced and knowledgeable in the safe work practices associated with the project scope of work. Specific responsibilities of our Safety Professionals may include:

- Responsible for in-field safety inspections and data entry into the Construction Safety Observation database, distribution and follow up on observations with applicable contractors/vendor.

-Be proactive in providing safety services at the areas within scope to protect people, reduce risk, and to strive for continuous improvement in safety performance, specifically for areas within scope.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3 to 5 years working experience in an EHS role
- Interpersonal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- EHS experience in an industrial environment
- OSHA certifications
- Bachelors Degree in Safety or related field
