An employer is looking for a Cloud Automation Engineer to sit remotely. The ideal candidate will be a critical member of the Hybrid Cloud Automation team to help design, develop, and maintain the support processes and procedures for server build configuration and deployment. This candidate will partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to develop automation that will support repeatability, compliance, and availability.
The client is currently in the process of building out a virtual private cloud from scratch. They are also building a new automation platform as they are moving off of VMware ESXi and onto Red Hat OpenShift. The Cloud Automation Engineers will be writing code within ansible and terraform to provision servers on prem to their various data centers. This team also handles all end user automation deploying services for customer requests.

5+ years of experience developing code for automation
Experience with deployment automation systems and concepts (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, etc.)
Expert level Ansible & Terraform experience
Redhat OpenShift experience
5+ scripting experience with YAML or Python
Strong understanding of public/private/hybrid cloud computing concepts and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, VPC)
Work with Jenkins and CI tools to automate software delivery (build, test, deploy).
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with serverless environments and infrastructure as code (IaC) methodologies
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
