Job Description

A healthcare insurance provider is looking for a Scrum Master to join their team on a hybrid basis in Hartford, CT. This position is open because there is a new project focused on brining Medicaid data processes up to standard with other various lines of data being stored in their data warehouse. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating and coaching the Agile development team to ensure they are following the Scrum framework and principles to achieve project goals. They will be responsible for organizing and leading meetings such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. They will be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and supporting the Product Owner as they manage the product backlog and refine user stories. The client is primarily a Microsoft based shop. They are currently utilizing Rally, but will be migrating to Jira in the near future. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting data warehousing projects and have industry expertise within healthcare. This candidate will need to be on-site in Hartford 1-2 times per week, specifically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Required Skills & Experience

2-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master
Previously acted as a Scrum Mater for data warehousing or related data projects
Healthcare background
Experience with Jira and/or Confluence and related tools
Strong experience leading Agile best practices

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previously supporting a Medicaid related project
Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree
Scrum or Agile certifications
