Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level Event Coordinator to join the marketing team at a power generation company located in Glastonbury, CT. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events, including trade shows, conferences, and customer engagement activities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with event management or coordination, as well as a high level of organization, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

- Planning, coordinating and managing large scale events, including trade shows, conferences, and customer engagement activities.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodations.
- Develop event concepts, themes, and agendas in alignment with company goals and branding.
- Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product management, to ensure successful event execution.
- Support necessary registration, booking, and sponsorships for various events.
- Manage the company's branded materials and items, handle inventory and stock, and brainstorm new product ideas.
- Oversee event promotion and marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and other communication channels.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, event management, communications, business or a related field.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience in the energy or power generation industry.

- Knowledge of aero-derivative gas turbines and generators.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
