Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineering Supervisor/Team Lead to sit onsite 5 days a week in Chester, CT. This person will join an American corporation company that designs and manufactures audio and visual warning equipment for automotive, aviation, and mass notification industries worldwide. The Electronic Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of 4-5 electronic engineers engaged in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems and components for the Aviation Division. This role combines technical expertise with managerial skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. On a day to day this person will spend 50% of their time hands on in design & development for hardware and embedded firmware on an agile team. The other 50% of their time will consist of coaching, mentoring and setting team goals for a team of 4-5 people. This company is looking for someone who is able to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

-7+ years of experience in electronic design, development, and testing
-3+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
-CAD experience designing electrical circuits using a software like Altium
-C or C++ embedded programming experience
-Bare metal firmware development experience (built a firmware application that can run without an OS)
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or a related field.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Aviation experience
Designing electrical circuits up to the hardware standard DO-160 and the software standard DO-178
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as ISO, IEEE, and EMC directives.
Familiar with CAN, USB, Ethernet and other common communication protocols.
Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field
