Job Description

A large reinsurance client is looking for a Jr. Cloud Operations Engineer to join the Public Cloud Operations team and sit hybrid in Stamford, CT. On the day to day, this person will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting Azure Cloud environments including Virtual Machines, vNETs, Subnets, NSG;s, APIM, WEB Apps, vWAN, and Azure Policies. They will maintain system and application log reviews, and handle break-fix support. This engineer will complete routine application patches and upgrades and contribute to cloud infrastructure design. They will also assist with IT Automation and Configuration management utilizing Ansible, Bicep, PowerShell and Terraform. This engineer will work cross functionally with project teams to advise on technical scopes for upcoming projects. This person will be organized and detailed, maintaining technical documentation for systems, applications, and scripts.

Pay Rate: 40-45/hr

Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years of experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer
Career experience focused in Azure
Experience troubleshooting Windows OS, Cloud Service, and application/networking
Background in design and implementation of systems both on prem and in the cloud
Windows and Linux server installation, configuring, tuning monitoring, and break-fix support
Scripting knowledge of Powershell, Batch, Shell, SQL, Python, or Perl
General knowledge of web development architecture

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Kubernetes experience building and maintaining clusters, auto scalling, and monitoring
Experience with data platforms and analytical tools
Redhat Enterprise Linux experience
Insurance or Reinsurance experience
