Job Description

An insurance employer is seeking an IT Program/Project Manager to join their team in Hartford, CT. This IT Project Manager will work as part of the Project Management Organization to support various IT projects that are currently slated. This resource will be assigned multiple projects at a time, and be responsible for driving these projects from concept through creation, creating project plans, tracking budget and deliverables, managing and allocating resources, and overall ensuring these projects are on track for on-time delivery. This resource will act as a Scrum Master at times, as the company is moving more towards Agile and are looking to implement and drive at Agile best practices across their portfolio. This IT PM will have accountability for project financials for these agile based projects and will utilize Planview to track this. They will need to allocate and manage the budget, as well as watch the actuals and forecasts for project budget and planning. The right resource will have exemplary communication skills, and be a go-getter. Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience as an IT Project/Program Manager
Strong Agile background, expertise acting as a Scrum Master to drive at Agile during projects
Ability to lead both Agile and Waterfall projects simultaneously
Previously supported enterprise level projects
Experience with Planview, MS Project, Clarity, or related project portfolio management software
Previously tracked and allocated budget within Agile projects

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previously worked within Property & Casualty Insurance
