Microbiology Lab Tech

Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Microbiology lab technician to join a large consumer goods company in Trumbull, CT. As a lab technician, they will be part of a cross functional microbiology laboratory team, planning and performing laboratory assignments and performing standard microbiological tests. This will include things such as preservative effectiveness, microbial limits testing, time kill kinetic studies, and in vivo testing. This position will support the North America Consumer Brands business, with high end, well known brands. Main responsibilities will be preparing large amounts of microbiological media, use of an autoclave, handling live microorganisms per standard procedures, performing basic microbiological testing, dish washing, and reporting out of results. At times, the position may require working independently once training is completed.

Must Haves:
Laboratory experience in the microbiology field (can be right out of school, or about to graduate)
Excellent research ability
Strong communication skills are required
Very strong attention to detail, excellent at following instructions and organized individual.
Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology

Plusses:
Experience testing cleaning products (hand soaps, sanitizers)
o Checking the efficacy of antibacterial products
Experience testing preservatives in products
