Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Microstrategy Developer for our client in Stamford, CT. This person would be joining the Business Intelligence group that supports solutions for network solutions. Currently, the main objective for the team is to help report network outage solutions and bring in new data sources. This person would be joining a small team of analysts, developers and an architect. They will interact with business partners to understand the subject matter, what the issues are and why the business needs to solve it. This person will be responsible for creating stored procedures, pulling data from Microstrategy, testing, and documenting. This person will be responsible for integrating a new data source into the current ecosystem. A project that is on the horizon is migrating from Teradata to Redshift. A daily example of a requirement they may get from the business is finding out who was impacted by a network outage, if they called about it, and how soon it was solved. They will report this to the business for solutions. This role will be performed 100% on-site in Stamford.

Required Skills & Experience

-5+ years of SQL Development experience - writing stored procedures, basic querying

-Microstrategy experience

-Unit testing and test case writing/documenting expertise

-Experience with relational databases (Redshift, Teradata)

-Bachelor's Degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Previous Teradata/RedShift migration experience

-Cable/telecom/network outage experience
