An employer is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team on a hybrid basis in Hartford, CT. This Project Coordinator will be a part of the PMO working on a child welfare system upgrade project. They will assist the Project Director in maintaining, monitoring for the project, as well as execution and control of the overall project plans and schedule. They will need to work and partner with business/IT leads and team members to ensure critical activities are accurately defined, understood, and remain on track with agreed to timelines. This work will include definitely and updating of the executive level milestone exhibit and reporting, day to day task planning, and monitoring execution of tasks. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining executive level dashboards and presentations. They will serve as the central point of control for all project schedule activities and recommend actions to keep the project within budget and on schedule. The Project Coordinator must be able to monitor project timelines and deadlines across multiple workstreams and develop weekly and monthly status routines and reporting metrics. Strong communication and organizational skill are extremely important for this role. They will need to create a task list to track all project planning and priorities to ensure the schedule stays on track. The Project Coordinator will also have a hand in organizational change management, and will help create change impact documents and other related project documentation and analysis.
4+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role within a PMO
Experience monitoring project timelines and deadlines across multiple workstreams
Strong experience using MS Project for developing schedules
Experience with project planning and related analytics
Experience with additional project tools such as SharePoint, Azure DevOps, and/or Jira
