Job Description

An employer is seeking a Content Management Trainer to join their team remotely. This is open because the company is building out their Digital Governance practice and are in need of a trainer to be involved throughout their journey to modernize all internal and external websites across the departments and agencies specific to content management, digital governance, and information architecture. The company builds all websites within Sitecore as their Content Management Systems. They are currently running on Sitecore version 9.2 but will be upgrading to version 10 within 2024. Currently, the design team has developed core components, and the content team has put together content standards and requirements that must be expressed to the rest of the departments and agencies. The goal is to migrate all sites to this modernized CMS platform in Sitecore, and in turn teach all employees how to utilize the new sites, while understanding the content hierarchy, content styles/strategy, search engine optimization, and overall the importance of improving digital governance. The Content Management Trainer will be involved in both the training piece, as well as the creation of training materials including documentation and videos. The Content Management Trainer will be tasked with helping all employees understand content strategy on an enterprise basis, and express the content strategy through this Sitecore deployment. This resource must have an understanding of the technical innerworkings of CMS and/or LMS platforms and understand how to bring this together with the philosophy around content management. This will be a long term, ongoing effort as they will continuously add new components to Sitecore which will require quarterly review and updates of the training documentation. The Content Management Trainer will need to put together a strategy for training, as well as a way to measure progress for retention once training has been completed. The ideal resource will be a team player that is not afraid to advocate for the digital team when needed, and have high attention to detail.
