Insight Global is seeking a Cytogenetic technologist for a large healthcare client in Hartford, CT. As a cytogenetic technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing biological samples, such as blood, bone marrow, and tumor tissue, using various techniques, such as karyotyping, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and microarray analysis. You will also be expected to interpret the results, write reports, and communicate with physicians and other health care professionals. You must have excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication skills. You must also be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Bachelors degree from a science background (biology, chemistry, biochem, allied health)
1-2 years of experience in a lab
Exposure to bone marrow setup, working with blood, F.I.S.H testing
ASCP certified in Cytogenetics
