A global reinsurance company is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join their team remotely. This team is responsible for global network security including web filter proxies, firewall policies, assurance, and more. This is open because of a large project that is slated to start in January 2024 focused around laying security within the various networks as the company upgrades to NSX firewalls and an Azure cloud based solution. This project is slated to go for at least 24 months, and will focus on micro-segmentation including creating individual application tiers and firewall rules, sub-sets of rules within these tiers, and overall NSX firewall configuration and connectivity as it relates to network security. The Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for governing the network firewall policies, and will receive requests and tickets that include the overall architecture, and they will be responsible for reviewing and resolving these tickets to ensure applications and data are secure throughout this upgrade and in the new environment. At times, this person will also assist in daily business as usual for the Network Security Services team, so they should also be well versed in proxy servers, IDS and IPS policies, and Zscaler for cloud security. This is a global team so the ideal person be able to work cross functionally with team members in other time zones, be a self-starter, and have high attention to detail.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
