Job Description

A large university client is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the Medical School Technical Support organization and sit hybrid at least 3 days a week onsite in New Haven, CT. This person will manage 20+ technical projects at a given time ranging in complexity. The project portfolio consists of 3-5 high complexity projects, 3-5 medium complexity projects, and the remaining projects are low complexity projects. The ideal candidate will come from a background in healthcare, health sciences, or higher education. On a day-to-day basis, this project manager will be organizing, tracking, and advancing ~20 technical projects ranging in complexity, priority, and completion status, coordinating with stakeholders including IT department leaders, academic researchers, faculty, vendor teams and project teams, and ultimately driving these projects to completion while keeping the Director up-to-date on any obstacles or roadblocks that come up.

Required Skills & Experience

* 6+ years of experience in project management in a healthcare, health sciences, OR higher education setting

* Demonstrated ability to manage 20 or more technical projects at any given time ranging in size and complexity

* Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments

* Strong background working with IT stakeholders, vendor teams, and project teams across organizations

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for project and budget tracking, Outlook and Team for email and calendar coordination)

* Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

* Experience in a healthcare, health sciences, AND higher education setting
