Insight Global is looking for a Junior Cloud Operations Engineer to support a large reinsurance company is Stamford, CT. They will be joining the Infrastructure IT team. This junior cloud engineer will be helping out in their migration from on prem to azure. They will be also completing L3 tickets that get escalated from the L2 team. The ideal candidate has worked in Azure, touched a migration from on prem to azure. This candidate will be molded into the team in assisting day to day activities that can be passed down from the Sr. Cloud Engineer. Their main focus will be to help manage and deliver cloud based applications and services and the infrastructure that supports them. An example of an ideal candidate is someone recently out of college who has a strong skillset and actively seeking a path in cloud engineering. An example of a candidate could have done is a school project building out an ecommerce platform using azure.
1-3 years of experience working in software engineering/azure
Experience working with Azure VMs
Experience touching on prem to azure migrations
Scripting knowledge in PowerShell
Experience showing actively learning/creating projects in azure (ex. School projects, certifications etc.)
Bachelors Degree
Industry experience in banking, reinsurance, insurance, financial
