Insight Global is looking for an ETL Developer to sit in Stamford, CT for one of our large Telecom clients. This Developer will be joining the Business Intelligence ETL team of 2 that is responsible for executive reporting. These reports are sent out weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually and is mainly based on customer/subscriber data. They will spend 50% of their time on migrations, troubleshooting, and ad hoc analysis. A migration is putting SQL code into production. For example, a SQL code was written, loaded into tableau, tested, and needs to be put into production. An example of an issue that they would need to troubleshoot is a data item that was rock solid just changed and no longer matches with the base data. The ETL developer will have to perform root cause analysis by running the SQL, getting the base data SQL from a reference report, and then comparing the two to see what changed. Sometimes they would just need to refresh the data because the data got stale. 30% of their time will be new project work building new ETL. Another 20% of their time will be performing data validation audits in which they will make sure the data is loading properly, making sure historical data didn't shift, etc.
