An employer is looking to hire a UI/UX Designer to join their team remotely. The UI/UX Designer will be supporting a digital transformation to give citizens more access to executive agency websites. The overall goal of this initiative is to improve access to programs and services, and make interaction with the government more user friendly. There are currently about 70 websites that are going to go through a full redesign. The UI/UX Designer will need to meet with stakeholders to understand their vision for the website and will be tasked with making that vision a reality. This person needs to have experience working with cross functional teams to help prioritize and meet user needs. From a website and design perspective, this designers needs to have an understanding of component based development within a CMS. They need to be able to utilize Sitecore or Adobe Experience Manager and have coding experience using HTML 5, Bootstrap, JavaScript and/or CSS. We are looking for someone that has working knowledge of these programming languages so that they can assist with troubleshooting when issues arise and assist with customization when needed. This person will be considered a production design artist as they will be handling a lot of production work for the sites. They will be working with enterprise scale digital platforms and products and must have experience working in an Agile environment.
5-10 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer within an enterprise team
3-5 years of experience using Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, or other large scale Content Management System
Experience with Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite for design
Overall knowledge of design principals and theory of design from a digital perspective
Understanding of programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Bootstrap to communicate effectively with developers and troubleshoot issues that aside throughout the project
