A large healthcare company is seeking a talented data engineer with a passion for bringing visibility and insight to complex datasets. Solutions created by them will be used by application developers and business owners to view the application's set of known vulnerabilities across the relevant scanning and testing solutions to inform the current security posture. Using this insight, teams will know where to focus energy and attention for maximum results. They will develop a data model that supports the extraction of data from numerous security tools and ingest that data into appropriate storage that supports the required visualizations. Through a partnership with platform engineers, they will have access to analyze and evaluate access and data connections to support the work. In addition to creating visibility to security vulnerabilities, this person will help support the development of key performance indicators associated with ongoing initiatives through data-driven measures.
Primary responsibilities include:
Gathering dashboarding and visualization requirements
Evaluating data relationships to map back to inventory and repositories
Designing data retrieval from application security tools and solutions
Aggregating data for unified presentation and analytics
Developing dashboards and views to support Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators
Supporting security assessments, audits, compliance requirements and remediation activities
Designing and deliver cybersecurity operation process projects aimed at improving visibility, enhancing performance, and conveying value to stakeholders
5+ years of experience retrieving data via API services using python to call the backend to retrieve data
3+ years Python development experience from scratch with scripting languages including Python
Demonstrated experience engineering data solutions
