A state employer is seeking a Quality Assurance Test Lead to join their team based in Hartford, CT. This position will require this consultant to be onsite one day per week in Hartford. This company is currently undergoing multiple upgrade projects for mission-critical applications including their child welfare system. There is currently a multi-faceted agency wide outcome measure improvement plan set in place for these upgrades. Due to this upgrade project, they are in need of a Quality Assurance Test Lead to join their team. This is a very hands on position and will have a specific focus on ensuring the new systems are built in a way that best ensures functional requirements are met and future performance, scalability, maintainability, and security for now and for the future is also achievable. The Quality Assurance Test Lead will also be responsible for creating a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions, interfaces, and technologies and resources to be used in the design of the system. A large portion of this position will be centered around automated testing of large-scale distributed systems, applications, and solutions. This will include working on all test automation components of solution and creating and maintaining necessary technical documentation. They will assist in all testing processes involving the migration and integration of new and legacy technologies. They will need to generate products such as unit tests, automated functional tests, regression tests, load tests, code coverage reports, and test scenarios. They will be responsible for creating automated test case scenarios for the Agile Delivery Team to meet Acceptance Criteria, and interface with the design and implementation teams throughout the processes.
7+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Lead or Senior Quality Assurance Analyst
Senior level experience with automated testing frameworks, test methodologies, and test strategies
Previous experience leading a test team and mentoring other more junior team members
Previously involved in providing testing for large scale agile development projects
Experience utilizing UFT or Selenium for automated testing
Understanding of DevOps practices and set up of continuous integration environments
