Job Description

Insight Global seeks an accomplished Data Engineer to join our software development team, which will develop data analytics applications for a global leader in the aerospace industry. The client's office location is in the area of Hartford, CT, but team members may work remotely (within compatible time zones).



This team will follow the Scrum framework in developing sophisticated new solutions for data consolidation, analysis and forecasting for the client's supply chain. The team will be operating in a large enterprise environment, working with business stakeholders to develop important new capabilities supporting their global operations.



The Solutions Engineer must be a US Citizen and will be joining a large Digital Technology team responsible for building and delivering data products to the business and its various programs. The Data Engineer will join an established scrum team whose goal is to bridge the gap between the business and current technology solutions for a Military program. Day to day, the Data Engineer will be tasked with developing data products and solutions to integrate data domains as part of an established data architecture pattern. The ideal candidate will lead the analysis, modeling, and explanation of data to produce analytical results. The Data Engineer will ensure that the design follows the company's enterprise architecture by working with business domain owners to gather and document full requirements. Based on the information obtained, they will then build data pipelines, create/deploy APIs or dashboards as needed so the data can be used as a product.

Required Skills & Experience

* 8+ years of experience as a Data/Solutions Engineer or Architect with working experience in multiple data domains, data platforms and architecture

* Experience creating, building and deploying API's or other data integration design in order to move large sets of data from SAP ERP systems

* Hands on experience with SQL and Python

* Experience developing cloud solutions using Azure or AWS

* MUST be a US Citizen

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience working in an Agile environment with multiple scrum teams and stakeholders

* Experience using Databricks or Data Factory

* Experience with RESTful and SOAP web service integration in the context of microservices architecture
