Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join an Development team with one of our clients in the Financial Industry. The Risk Management Technology organization exists within the Corporate Systems organization of the Technology org, which is comprised of several teams that support the goals of Schwab's internal corporate functions and employees through the delivery of innovative technology solutions and high-availability application management.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Risk Management Technology, the primary responsibility of the Java Developer within Risk Management Technology is to:
- Provide ETL solutioning to the delivery team using an internal Java-based framework
- This role will include both Project and Maintenance work
- This individual will engage primarily with technical delivery teams, including application developers, technical analysts, architects, QA, Project Managers, program management, and business partners.
Candidates should have a passion for understanding emerging technologies and managing the deployment of same where appropriate.
Required Skills & Experience
* 7+ years experience in building large scale enterprise level applications
* 5 + years development experience with Java Code for purpose of ETL, building pipelines to & from database
* Experience in ETL (Extract, transform & Load) development
* Proficiency in working with Spring Cloud, SQL, Java Spring Boot
* Experience with SQL Server and Oracle Database (Insight & Actimize)
* Experience in REST Webservices and API tooling like Swagger etc.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Preference is for it to be near the Lonetree, Austin or Dallas office but remote is ok
* Prior banking, investment, finance experience a huge plus
* Experience with Atlassian suite of products (Bitbucket, JIRA, Bamboo etc.)
* Experience with data formats including XML, CSV, and JSON
* Exposure to typical integration technologies such as HTTPS, JMS, JDBC, REST, and SOAP
* Knowledge of MQ technologies (IBM MQ / Rabbit MQ / Kafka)
