Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Technical Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager to support a highly visible Public Cloud Engineering organization. This individual will facilitate Agile delivery for two AWS engineering squads while also serving as the primary project coordination lead across broader cloud initiatives impacting multiple business units.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of AWS cloud technologies and cloud delivery methodologies, allowing them to effectively support engineering teams, manage dependencies, identify risks, and communicate complex technical initiatives across Cloud, Security, Product, and Technology organizations.
This role is approximately 75% Scrum Master and Agile Delivery leadership and 25% traditional Project Management.
Key Responsibilities
Agile & Scrum Leadership (75%)
• Serve as Scrum Master for two AWS Public Cloud engineering teams.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including:
○ Daily Standups
○ Sprint Planning
○ Sprint Reviews
○ Retrospectives
○ Backlog Refinement Sessions
• Facilitate quarterly planning and SAFe PI Planning activities.
• Monitor sprint health, team velocity, capacity planning, and delivery commitments.
• Remove roadblocks and drive resolution of team impediments.
• Ensure teams maintain predictable delivery and execution.
• Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
Project & Program Management (25%)
• Manage and coordinate 4-6 concurrent AWS cloud initiatives.
• Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
• Coordinate schedules and deliverables across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Drive accountability and execution across cloud-related programs.
• Provide clear status updates and executive-level communication.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Partner closely with:
○ AWS Public Cloud Engineering
○ GCP Engineering
○ Azure Teams
○ Private Cloud Teams
○ Application Development
○ Security & Cybersecurity
○ Product & Technology Organizations
• Coordinate work associated with enterprise cloud initiatives, including merger-related integrations and data modernization efforts.
• Support compliance-focused programs including PCI and SOX-related initiatives.
Risk Management & Delivery Execution
• Proactively identify and escalate:
○ Risks
○ Dependencies
○ Blockers
○ Resource constraints
○ Action items
• Ensure issues are addressed before impacting sprint or project deliverables.
• Drive teams toward commitments and hold stakeholders accountable for deliverables.
• Exercise sound judgment regarding communication and escalation paths.
Stakeholder Communication
• Act as the communication hub for cloud engineering initiatives.
• Partner with leadership, engineers, architects, product owners, and fellow project managers.
• Present progress, risks, and delivery status to management.
• Facilitate effective coordination among highly technical teams.
This role is onsite 4 days a week in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
This role is offering 60-68/hr depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Scrum Master and/or Agile Project Management experience.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud platforms and cloud engineering organizations.
• Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud, platform, or DevOps teams.
• Proven experience leading Agile teams in a Scrum Master capacity.
• Experience running sprint ceremonies and Agile planning activities.
• Knowledge of SAFe methodologies and PI Planning.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong risk identification, escalation, and issue management experience.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Qualifications
• AWS Cloud experience supporting Public Cloud programs.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, PMP, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience working in enterprise environments with AWS, GCP, Azure, and Private Cloud teams.
• Background supporting Security, Governance, PCI, or SOX compliance programs.
Telecommunications or large enterprise technology experience.
