Principal Five9 Engineer

Insight Global is looking to hire a Five9 Telephony Engineer in a fully remote environment. This individual will serve as the primary Five9 subject matter expert and provide technical leadership for a growing enterprise telephony environment. They will support ongoing Five9 administration, implementation efforts, IVR development, call flow optimization, routing design, and system enhancements across multiple business units. The engineer will partner with infrastructure leadership to evaluate technical capabilities, recommend best practices, and drive solutions related to inbound calling, outbound dialers, SMS campaigns, reporting requirements, and AI-driven call containment initiatives. This person must be able to operate independently, lead technical discussions, and provide guidance without requiring significant oversight.


Compensation
Compensation ranges from $65 - $75/hr on contract with potential contract-to-hire conversion opportunities around $140,000-$170,000+ annually depending on experience.

- 3+ years of hands-on Five9 administration and implementation experience
- Experience building and modifying IVR scripts within Five9
- Strong understanding of Five9 call flows, call variables, and routing configurations
- Experience supporting and optimizing enterprise-scale telephony environments
- Experience serving as a Five9 SME and leading technical solution discussions

- Microsoft Teams Phone / Teams telephony integration experience
- Experience supporting HIPAA, PCI, healthcare, or other regulated environments
- Experience with AI-powered call containment, call deflection, or contact center automation initiatives
- Experience supporting outbound dialers and SMS campaign functionality within Five9
