Translator / Interpreter - Japanese & English

Insight Global is seeking a Japanese Technical Interpreter / Translator to support a leading retail client during a critical project launch. This individual will act as a communication bridge between internal stakeholders and a third-party logistics partner supporting retail distribution operations in Japan. The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese and English, understands technical and business terminology, and can accurately facilitate both written and verbal communication. This role consists primarily of interpretation during recurring project meetings, daily email translation support, and helping teams navigate cultural and business communication nuances to ensure a successful launch. The position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional technical and operational teams on a high-impact international initiative.

Please note this is part time ~ 10 hours a week

$45/hr to $50/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Fluent in both Japanese and English (spoken and written)
Strong interpretation and translation experience
Ability to understand and communicate technical terminology/jargon
Technical fluency with supply chain, logistics, or related business discussions
Knowledge of Japanese business culture and communication nuances
Experience facilitating conversations between technical/business stakeholders
Comfortable working remotely and joining early morning meetings
Professional business communication skills

Experience supporting retail distribution or 3PL operations
Experience working with Japanese-based business partners
Background in supply chain, logistics, retail, or distribution environments
Ability to ramp up quickly through training with technical leads
Prior experience providing interpretation for project implementations or launches
