Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Wireless Technology Engineer in Colorado. This individual will provide technical leadership for the design, development, testing, and deployment of wireless networking solutions. They will evaluate new wireless technologies and products, develop architecture designs, and validate solutions through lab testing and field trials. The engineer will support WiFi and mobile network operations by troubleshooting performance issues and collaborating with operations teams to resolve network problems. They will also drive the adoption of new wireless technologies, develop testing and certification processes, support network security initiatives, review technical designs, and contribute to vendor evaluations and product selection activities. Compensation ranges from $70-$72/hr based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in wireless technology engineering, development, or management
- Strong experience with WiFi 5, WiFi 6, WiFi 7, and 4G-LTE technologies
- Experience with wireless device validation, testing, and certification (routers, access points, gateways, controllers, small cells, etc.)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, and network security
- Experience using network troubleshooting and diagnostics tools such as SQL, Splunk, Plume, or Scope
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with 5G technologies
- Experience supporting public WiFi infrastructure
- Exposure to Mesh Networking, UWB, 802.11ad/ay, or other emerging wireless technologies
- Experience participating in RFPs, RFIs, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations
