Job Description
A company that develops high-energy laser systems for the Department of Defense is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of electrical systems for advanced defense products. This person will work closely with mechanical, optical, and electrical engineering teams to develop the power, data, and control systems that enable these high-performance platforms to operate safely and reliably.

-Designing electrical architectures, power distribution systems, and cable assemblies
-Leading grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC mitigation efforts
-Integrating electrical systems into complex hardware platforms
-Troubleshooting system-level electrical issues during development and testing
-Creating technical documentation and supporting design reviews
Because these systems operate at high power levels, this person will play a critical role in ensuring designs are safe, reliable, and capable of performing in demanding defense environments.
The ideal candidate has experience with electrical system design, hardware integration, and troubleshooting in aerospace, defense, or other complex engineering environments. Candidates should be comfortable leading technical efforts and collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.
The salary range for this position is between $140,000-$180,000, but compensation details will be based on previous work experience, hard and soft skills, and interview outcomes. This role will require a 5 days/week in-office schedule in the company's Longmont, CO office to experience the team's collaborative culture, and build relationships with peers and project teams.
