Job Description

This role is responsible for owning the electrical design and power system studies for behind-the-meter (BTM) power solutions and related campus interfaces. The position develops and maintains the electrical Basis of Design (BOD), aligns with vendors and utilities, and ensures all designs meet safety, code, and availability standards for mission-critical environments.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (PE preferred)
-8+ years of experience in electrical design within mission-critical environments, power systems, industrial or generation integration projects
-Senior-level ownership of electrical scope for BTM generation integration
-Strong experience developing and managing Electrical Basis of Design (BOD) and design standards across multiple deployments
-Proven ability to coordinate with electrical equipment vendors and ensure compliance with technical requirements
-Experience working directly with utilities and managing interconnection documentation and review processes
-Hands-on experience leading design reviews, constructability reviews, and resolving RFIs
-Experience defining and executing commissioning and energization plans
-Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations and facilities teams in mission-critical environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with large-scale (75 MW+) generation systems such as reciprocating gas engines (RICE) turbines, fuel cells, battery systems
-Experience with paralleling switchgear, medium/low voltage (MV/LV) distribution, protection coordination
-Commissioning in critical environments (e.g., data centers)
-Experience working with utilities, AHJs, and third-party commissioning providers
-Familiarity with industry standards such as NERC, FERC, NEC, NFPA 70E, and IEEE
-Exposure to OT monitoring systems, SCADA integration, and alarm management
