Job Description

Insights Globals Client is a small manufacturing firm seeking a temporary Contract Mechanical Engineer to assist with urgent project deliverables due to a 50% capacity reduction in our engineering team. This is a 4–8 week assignment with a focus on clearing a production backlog.

Immediate Deliverables:
CAD Drafting - Complete and release bracket drawings for several current projects.

Model Reviews - Conduct final 3D model reviews for existing project components.

Shop Support - Provide immediate technical clarification for the production floor to prevent line stalls.

Project Duration - 4–8 weeks (Potential for extension or Contract-to-Hire).

Required Skills & Experience

Required Technical Skills:
CAD Proficiency - 3+ years of experience with SolidWorks.

Manufacturing Knowledge - Strong understanding of sheet metal, extrusions, welding, assembly, and GD&T.

Self-Starter - Ability to work with minimal oversight in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Ability to work a 2-month contract with opportunity for conversion.
