Job Description

We are seeking two, fully remote, Temporary I-9 Compliance Specialists to support the People & Culture team by managing the completion, auditing, and maintenance of Form I-9 documents. The Temporary I-9 Compliance Specialist will ensure that all I-9s are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with federal regulations.

• Review and process Section 1 and Section 2 of Form I-9 for new hires.
• Verify documentation for employment eligibility according to federal guidelines.
• Track and follow up on I-9 completion for remote or in-person employees.
• Maintain confidential records securely and according to company policy.
• Communicate with employees and HR Business Partners to resolve discrepancies or incomplete documentation.
• Stay up-to-date on I-9 requirements and E-Verify processes (if applicable).
• Conduct monthly audits of Form I-9 Receipt documents and Expiring I-9 Reverifications.

Pay: $34/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 2-3 month contract
40 hours/week

Required Skills & Experience

• Prior experience handling Form I-9s or working in an HR compliance role, specifically remote I-9 verifications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Familiarity with E-Verify
• Excellent communication skills.
Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment
