Job Description

We are seeking a proactive problemsolver to join our team as an experienced Release Engineer to support full wireless WiFi operations. This role is responsible for releasing firmware into the network, launching new WiFi equipment, maintaining baseline configurations, and supporting incident management across a large-scale, production WiFi core environment. This is a hands-on engineering role that partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure stable, scalable, and secure WiFi services. The ideal candidate brings deep WiFi core experience and strong operational discipline.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Release and deploy firmware updates into the production WiFi network
• Support the launch of new WiFi hardware and equipment
• Establish and maintain baseline inventories and baseline configurations
• Partner and interface with other internal organizations (engineering, operations, incident management, vendors)
• Participate in planning and design activities related to WiFi core and network enhancements
• Support incident management and troubleshooting when issues arise in the network
• Provide operational support during on-call rotations, including both daytime and nighttime coverage
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolution when services degrade or outages occur
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in WiFi operational processes and reliability

This position is a contract to extension/hire opportunity. This position will be hybrid 4 days a week onsite in Greenwood Village, CO. The pay rate for this position is between $75-77/hr. Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with a Wi‑Fi core (required)
• 10–15 years of overall engineering experience in wireless, networking, or related domains
• Experience supporting end-to-end wireless Wi‑Fi operations in a production environment
• Strong understanding of data center architectures, including cloud-based environments
• Hands-on experience with Ruckus-based Wi‑Fi architectures
• Experience with DHCP design and troubleshooting in Wi‑Fi environments
• Experience mapping SSID/VLANs across Cisco and Ruckus switches
• Solid understanding of Wi‑Fi core and AAA fundamentals, routing and switching, OSI model, and DNS/DHCP/IPv6 basics
• Proven experience deploying firmware releases into live production networks
• Experience supporting new equipment launches
• Configuration baselining and inventory management experience
• Ability to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Networking certifications such as: CCNA, CCNP, Other Cisco certifications
• Experience with network or infrastructure security
• Working knowledge of Linux environments
•Prior experience in large-scale ISP or carrier-grade networks
