Job Description
We are seeking a Linux Systems Engineer with a strong background in automation, Java development/scripting, and emerging AI-driven solutions. This role sits at the intersection of Linux administration, intelligent automation, and QA efficiency, working closely with our automation and AI teams to modernize and scale our systems and testing practices.
You will collaborate with peers locally in Denver and with our Automation team in St. Louis, contributing to initiatives focused on agentic AI, CI/CD automation, and improving QA analysis through smarter, more efficient tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
Linux Systems & Automation:
Administer, support, and optimize Linux-based environments used for application delivery, automation, and AI workloads
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and scripting to streamline operational and QA workflows
Support and monitor automated agents, including agentic AI systems, ensuring stability, performance, and accuracy
AI & Intelligent Automation:
Partner with the automation and AI teams to expand the use of AI-driven solutions, including agent-based automation
Review, validate, and improve AI-generated outputs, agent behavior, and supporting documentation
Help integrate AI capabilities into existing automation pipelines and system workflows
Support message-driven and asynchronous workflows (e.g., Amazon Queue–based integrations)
Testing Enablement:
Create and maintain automated and manual test frameworks aligned with development and QA needs
Translate Jira stories and tasks into executable test cases, identifying opportunities to automate versus manualize
Improve overall QA analysis efficiency by identifying repeatable patterns and automating them
This is a contract to hire position 4 days a week onsite in Greenwood Village, CO. This position is offering an hourly salary of 40-48/hr depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or Engineer
- Solid foundation in Java development and/or Java-based scripting
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and scripting
- Experience working with Jira, including test case creation and tracking
- Understanding of QA processes and test automation concepts
- Experience working with AI-enabled automation or agentic AI systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Background in improving or scaling QA automation and analysis workflows
