Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. RF Engineer for our client that specializes in the research and development of advanced antenna technologies for the Department of Defense and Commercial/Civil Space applications.

This client specializes in four business segments: Tactical radars, Satellite Communications, Millimeter Wave Antennas and Space Deployable Antennas.

This position will join a rapidly growing company with expertise in small and large phased array based radar systems, satellite communication phased arrays and large space deployable antennas. They have a state-of-the-art 20'x30' Robotic Near Field Range for antenna testing that is robotically controlled, providing versatile test methods for antennas, radomes, and radar cross-section measurements.

The Experienced RF Engineer will lead innovative active electronically steered antenna design projects.

Job responsibilities include:
• Full wave modeling and simulation using CST (or similar tools)
• Active RF network design and test
• Active component (amplifiers, switches, phase shifters) selection and PCB integration
• Vector Network Analyzer testing
• Antenna test and data postprocessing (far field and near field methods)
• Report and presentation
• Multilayer printed circuit board RF transition design
• System-level analysis and testing (radars and communication)
• Technical leadership of supporting design and test personnel efforts

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of Radio Frequency Engineering experience
• Familiar with small and large antenna array radiator design and analysis
• The ideal candidate will have software skills using Matlab, Python, or C
• Ability to work in a group and is a self-starter
• Proficient in Full Wave Electromagnetic Simulation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with PCB Layout
