Job Description

A large telecommunications company is seeking a fully remote Network Technician II for a contract extending through 2025. The project awarded will include the support 10,000 network sites during the length of the contract. Their daily duties will encompass network site activation failure response and communication with vendors/customers in resolving tickets. The majority of the day will include troubleshooting VPN issues working through layers 1-3 of the OSI model. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, and have the ability to work in a face paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of working in a network related role

Hands-on experience remoting into VPN and troubleshooting within

Experience with at least of the following routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPV 4/6

Enterprise level experience with routing hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel

OSI model comfortability layers 1-3

Exposure to Ethernet technologies (preferably Ethernet transport)

IP subnetting experience

Proficiency with switching on multi-tenant customer networks

Experience communicating verbal and written to customers and/or vendors

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Network certification- Network+, CCNA, etc.
