Job Description

We are looking for a data science leader to drive the development of data-driven solutions for Charter’s Spectrum Mobile Network. This role involves applying advanced analytical, statistical, and programming skills to clean, aggregate, and interpret large datasets, with a focus on WiFi and 5G initiatives within Network Technology Services. The candidate will lead the full analytics lifecycle—from requirements gathering and data exploration to model prototyping, validation, and implementation—while exercising sound judgment in prioritizing efforts and tailoring approaches to diverse business problems. Responsibilities include conducting exploratory analyses, identifying meaningful data correlations, developing dashboards, and clearly documenting all work for historical reference. The role also requires presenting insights to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds and offering actionable recommendations.
In addition to technical execution, this position includes mentoring junior team members, training others in analytical tools and techniques, and managing data science contractor resources. The candidate will collaborate across teams to maintain communication with data owners, create project plans to meet deadlines, and proactively report progress. A strong command of statistical methods and machine learning, combined with the ability to synthesize findings and communicate effectively, is essential. The pay rate for this role starts at $70/hr and ranges up depending on years of experience.
