Job Description
We are seeking a Network Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on networking experience to join our dynamic research and development team. This role involves working closely with hardware vendors to evaluate and understand new equipment, including routers, switches, and other networking devices. Candidates should be comfortable testing and programming equipment in a lab environment and occasionally supporting installation efforts in the field. The ideal candidate will be curious, technically proficient, and eager to learn how various products function in real-world scenarios. The payrate for this role starts at $50/hr and ranges up depending on years of experience. This position offers a unique blend of lab-based experimentation and field-based implementation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical challenges and collaborative problem-solving.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years of Network Engineering experience in the field and lab environment
- Solid understanding of basic networking skills like programming routers, plugging in switches, different ethernet speeds, fiber, coax, etc.
- IP knowledge and experience is a must
- Comfortable working with hardware vendors to assess new technology
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working at a WISP - Wireless Internet Service Provider
Experience working with Tarana equipment
Experience with Juniper & Cisco equipment for routing
