Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Systems Engineer to support a defense customer in Roy, Utah; Huntsville, Alabama; or Colorado Springs. This individual will be joining a team of about 20 responsible for engineering and maintaining the IT Infrastructure environment. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Administer and maintain Windows and Redhat (RHEL) 8 Server operating systems and domain services.
Design and manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and access control policies.
Create, deploy, and maintain system images across enterprise environments.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software in a networked setting.
Support virtualization infrastructure using VMware and manage SAN storage systems.
Implement and maintain security configurations in compliance with NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG.
Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system management.
Participate in the Certification & Accreditation (C&A) process for information systems.

Required Skills & Experience
Secret (Top Secret Preferred) with ability to obtain SAP
Security+ Certification
Master’s Degree with 10 years of IT experience, Bachelor’s with 12 years, or Associate’s with 14 years (Degree can be substituted for additional YOEs)
Experience with Windows and Linux Engineering + Administration – primarily in virtual environment with VMWare
Ability to assist in design of system architecture
Strong understanding of Active Directory for user permissions, GPOs, etc.
Ability to coach and mentor junior engineers
Understanding of network infrastructure to assist network team as needed
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
1+ years of experience working with VCF and VDI
