Job Description

A school district is looking to add a Mechanic to their West Terminal (Evergreen, CO). This person will be responsible for servicing all district vehicles and equipment, doing both preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance.
Repairs will include:
- tire work
- suspension
- electrical
- heating/cooling
- body
- other subsystem repairs

This person will help diagnose and repair vehicle defects including:
- engine
- transmission
- brake

They will perform mandated safety and emissions inspections on vehicles, with little to no supervision.
This person will also be "on call" to roadside assistance (bus break downs mid route, stuck in the snow, etc.).

The mechanic will be responsible for docking all hours spent on parts/vehicles, and detailing work done.
The shift will range from 9-5:30pm M-F, so this mechanic will be responsible for closing down the shop.

This position is a long-term, stable full-time opportunity and will be onsite in Evergreen. The salary range for this role is $66,000-74,000, and takes into account years of experience and certifications. Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of experience working with MEDIUM and HEAVY-DUTY diesel work
- Own tools (the school does provide 1280$ annually towards tool expense)
- Ability to obtain certifications within a few months of hire (paid for by school district)
* CDL Class B
* CDE Break Certification
* Opacity Certification
* CDE Bus Inspector Certification
* PNS (passenger and school bus endorsement)
- Pass background check for school districts
- Pass a drug test

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Any certifications prior to hire (listed in required skills)
- Automotive gas and diesel engine on school vehicles
