A large worldwide manufacturing company is looking for a Manufacturing Design Engineer for permanent placement in Arvada, CO. The Manufacturing Design Engineer will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and interact with 11 Manufacturing Engineers, as well as machinists and programmers, to play a crucial role in bridging the gap between Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing. Responsibilities start with 30% training in Siemens NX CAD/CAM software, learning the machines, reviewing drawings then go to 40-50% 3D CAD process models (each stage of design from raw material to finished product),and 10-20% interpreting blueprints and creating 2D process sketches of step by step for each machine. You may also work on special projects such as machine floor layout in CAD.

Associates OR Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering heavily preferred
Experience with Siemens NX, or similar software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro-E, Catia)
Excellent attitude and work ethic, longevity
Experience in 3D design for a CNC machine part manufacturing shop, GD&T
Understanding of manufacturing processes and process improvements
