We are seeking a skilled professional to design, implement, enhance, and troubleshoot observability artifacts. The ideal candidate will have experience building observability dashboards in Splunk, Datadog, or Grafana, and developing artifacts for monitoring system performance, reliability, and daily data processing, including APM, NPM, SNMP, JVM, and API performance. This role involves defining an observability strategy for cloud services, on-premises services, and WiFi hardware by researching architecture documents and release notes. Additionally, they will document release notes for all developed artifacts. Close collaboration with developers is required to integrate observability tools. The candidate will also contribute to revision control using Git, network performance monitoring, process automation through scripting in BASH and Python, and bring expertise in WiFi monitoring and analysis. The pay range for this role starts at $55/hr and ranges up depending on experience. 2-5+ years of SRE related experience with basic understanding of wireless networks
Strong and relevant experience using Splunk and/or Datadog - looking for someone who actively utilizes these tools in their day to day
Strong understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment concepts
Experience with revision control using Git
Understanding of Linux and Unix operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE, and Rocky Linux).
Familiar with APM, NPM, SNMP, or JVM monitoring
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., BASH, Python)
Solid exposure to JVM monitoring and network device monitoring
Experience working with Grafana
Understanding of SNMP monitoring for effective polling and visualization
Basic knowledge of network devices and basic network appliances
Knowledge of company WiFi products and services
