Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Data Engineering to help architect, build, and scale their AWS-based data platform. This role is instrumental in designing and implementing data pipelines that support enterprise-wide reporting, analytics, and integrations. Ideal candidates will bring a mix of strong cloud engineering experience, modern data tools, and self-sufficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Pay range falls from $57-70/hr dependent on YOE

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years experience in Data Engineering
(OR)
5+ years in Software Engineering or DevOps with a data-heavy focus
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software/Data Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience with:
AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda, Athena, etc.)
Python for data pipeline scripting
ETL development and cloud-based data lakes/warehouses
Data modeling concepts and best practices
Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform nice to have)
Familiarity with legacy tools like SQL Server, Oracle, or Informatica a plus
Experience with QuickSight (or similar reporting tools) is a bonus

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

AWS Certifications in Data or Architecture
Experience with Spark, Terraform, QuickSight, and legacy systems
Knowledge of hybrid/cloud migration strategies
