An employer is looking for a Program Manager for one of our top Energy Services companies in the Nation. This Program Manager is responsible for leading a portfolio of capital technology projects supporting Distribution, Transmission, Gas, Energy Supply, Nuclear and Commercial Operations business units within the PMO. You will be responsible to oversee and manage multiple delivery PMs and their respected projects, supporting on schedule and on budget delivery to approved scope. As well as defining controls to effectively manage portfolio activities and delivery expectations. You will be responsible writing status reports for the portfolio that go directly to the Leadership. In this role you will own a portfolio with about 5 Project Managers you will be supporting, and you will also run a specific project as well. This is an awesome opportunity for long-term growth with a team that is charging at some of the organizations most high visibility initiatives. - 6+ years of experience operating in a Program Management role where you are owning a portfolio
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience with large and complex projects, with management of projects up to $10M budget or greater.
- Previous experience managing large software delivery portfolios with any COTS exposure
- Experience leading Project Managers and providing guidance on best practices to ensure project delivery
- Proven vendor management experience including RFP process, SOW creation, financial control, and aggressively driving vendors to meet date and budget commitments.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within a matrix environment as well as managing internal relationships
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Proven experience leading large scale software implementations
- Experience with SPM Strategic Portfolio Management Tool (ServiceNow Project Module)
- Experience or exposure to LEAN methodologies
