Job Description

- The primary objective of this role is to redesign an enterprise AWS network that is currently in a post-acquisition state with overlapping IP layers. This resource needs to lead the redesign architecture of the AWS network. This will include working with:
- VPC & VPC peering
- Route Tables
- NAT Gateways
- Direct Connect
- Transit Gateway
- PrivateLink
- CloudFront
- Global Accelerator
- This team is FinOps for the AWS infrastructure across the enterprise advising on architecture, cost optimization, and building out automation and tooling
- Solution AWS hardening and security, and evolving network architecture, design, and infrastructure
- Architect a redesign of the AWS network to be a lot more adaptable and flexible and easy to onboard applications and provide connectivity and observability of the network
- Work in a public and private cloud environment
- Produce architecture blueprints that guide the development and implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple products, providing direction to technical teams during project delivery and ensuring implementations support technology and product roadmaps.
- Define operational procedures and practices
- Define KPIs and set up appropriate health-checks, monitoring and escalation procedures
- Accelerate development for roadmap features, to address specific customer requirements
- Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures.

The pay rate for this role varies depending on level and years of experience and will range from $80-$85/hour.

Required Skills & Experience

-7-10+ years of AWS experience
- AWS networking (VPC, VPC peering, Route Tables, NAT Gateway, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Subnets, Flow Logs, PrivateLink, CloudFront, and/or Global Accelerator)
- Experience designing AWS networks

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialist
